Milk is very important and necessary for us all and it is milk that further produces other dairy products such as butter, cheese etc. These dairy products that are produced from the farms are very healthy and beneficial for us. Let us think in this way that when cows provide us with such a healthy dairy product, do we make sure to take care of them and their surrounding? Yes, we should take care of the place where cows are living as a clean, safe and comfortable surrounding will ensure healthy cows that will ensure good quality of milk. As a reaction of the milk scandal in mainland China a ban was imposed on all the China-made milk products in every part of the world. Due to China made milk more than 53,000 children were affected and it killed at least 13 infants.

I  just can’t get rid of the idea of starting an organic dairy farm. If you own a piece of land where you can grow cattle feed, this is an excellent business opportunity for you. Having worked in dairy industry(Milk Collection/Procurement), I know the ins and outs of this business like back of my hand.

Raw clean milk is a best food for children health. Yet there are no such techniques invented which can preserve the essential qualities of the milk in pasteurized variety. The essential nutrients which usually are lost in pasteurization process, in fact, are the real and only foundation for a healthy child.

Clean Raw Milk and Pasteurized Milk

Though everyone knows that raw milk also contains such things which are not good for health, but it also contains such nutrients that are best for health. As far as pasteurization is concerned, milk was in use by humans before Pasteur was heard.

In this era we are almost forced to use pasteurized milk, because raw milk is not available as it was before. That’s why it’s necessary for us to know what pasteurization means.

Pasteurization

Pasteurization’s basic purpose is to accomplish two things:

  • Destruction of certain disease-carrying germs
  • Prevention of souring milk

It’s done by keeping the milk at a temperature of 145 degrees to 150 degrees F. for almost half an hour. After that temperature is reduced to 55 degrees F.
